DIY Pumpkin Toilet Paper Bathroom Diffuser

Updated: Sep 13, 2018

This is such a fun and simple craft to do while decorating your house for fall! Not only is this pumpkin toilet paper a cute bathroom decoration, it is also a DIY essential oil diffuser!

Tip: The essential oil aroma will not be as strong as if you were using a mist diffuser. Think of this as more of an "accent diffuser"! However, It still will make your bathroom smell amazing!

What you'll need

  • Toilet paper

  • Orange plastic tablecloth (Like this one! Or this one!)

  • Fake leaves (I took mine off of fake flowers from the dollar store!)

  • Sticks/twigs (I got mine from outside!)

  • Your favorite fall essential oils! ( Young Living's Cinnamon Bark essential oil, Clove essential oil, Nutmeg essential oil, or Thieves essential oil are good options! If you're not a Young Living Member, you can find out how to become one here!)

How to make your DIY pumpkin toilet paper bathroom diffuser

  • Cut your tablecloth in a square/rectangle (The dimensions will depend on the size of your toilet paper roll but you can cut a standard size of 18" x 21")

  • Lay the cut tablecloth under your toilet paper

  • Going around the toilet paper, tuck the tablecloth into the cardboard middle of the toilet paper

  • Add the essential oil to the sticks

  • Put the sticks and leaves in the middle of the pumpkin

  • Place your Pumpkin Toilet Paper Diffuser in your bathroom

The "diffuser"

The best option that I have found for the diffuser part is sticks/twigs from outside!

First, you'll need to find twigs/sticks outside that are going to work as your essential oil diffuser

Once you find them, you will want to bake them to get the germs and bacteria off!

1. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees fahrenheit

2. Spread the sticks out on a baking tray lined with foil

3. Bake the sticks for 30 minutes

Tip: for extra aroma, add the essential oil inside cardboard of the toilet paper!

Adding the essential oil to the diffuser

  • Add 1-2 drops of essential oil on a plate

  • Roll your stick in it (Tip: Use a tweezer to roll it around so you don't get oil all over your hands)

  • You can re-oil the sticks as often as you want whenever you feel like the oil aroma is going away

This fall DIY craft is simple and inexpensive that you can keep in your bathroom all season long!
