DIY Face Wash Using Essential Oils

Updated: Jan 14, 2020

I am very careful when choosing products for my skin. Especially when it comes to my face! This foaming face wash works great on skin. It has skin nourishing ingredients and smells great! But the best part is that it is very simple to make and contains no harmful ingredients!

  • 1 tsp of Jojoba Oil (Buy Here) or Almond Oil (Buy Here)

  • 1/3 cup of Unscented Castile Soap (Buy Here)

  • Essential Oils (I recommend Young Living, Learn More Here)

  • 10 drops of Lavender Essential Oil

  • 5 drops of Frankincense Essential Oil

  • 2 drops of Rose Essential Oil (if you don't have rose, Tea Tree Essential Oil would be a great substitution!)

  • 2/3 cups of Distilled Water

  • Foaming Dispenser (Buy Here or Here)

Tip: To ensure a longer shelf life, it is recommended to use a preservative. I have found this to be toxic-chemical free and effective. Recommended dilution is 0.5%-1%. I used 1/2 a tsp in this recipe.

  • Pour the Castile Soap and Jojoba/Almond Oil in the soap dispenser

  • Add the essential oils then mix together

  • Add the distilled water slowly to prevent the soap from bubbling then add the preservative

How To Use:

  1. Mix the soap before use, as the oils may separate

  2. Pump one or two pumps into your hand

  3. Massage the soap into your face

  4. Rinse the face wash off with warm water

  5. Follow up by using a toner and/or moisturizer
